Ohio PIRC Ending

We regret to inform our friends & colleagues that the existence of Ohio PIRC comes to an end on September 30, 2011. The U.S. Department of Education, the primary funder for the past 17 years, did not recommend PIRC as a line item in the federal budget going forward.

We at the Ohio PIRC want to thank our partners, communities, schools, parents, and others who helped us empower parents and families by providing information, resources and training to support children's learning and enhance the environments in which they grow.

Call your school first and ask, "What can I do to help out?" A great organization to start with is the Ohio PTA which provides resources that encourages parents and communities to be a more integral part of children's education, health, welfare, and safety.
